Fit Right In
A Modern Guide to Gym Etiquette and Wellness Culture
Fit Right In is a practical and often humorous companion for gym-goers of all experience levels, tackling an overlooked but essential topic: how to behave, dress, and stay safe in shared fitness spaces. In an age when fitness culture is thriving but social awareness in gyms often lags behind, Fit Right In bridges the gap between physical wellness and social intelligence. Topics covered include: – What to wear (and what not to) in the gym – Navigating shared equipment and respecting others’ space – Health and hygiene practices that benefit everyone – Locker room behavior and boundaries – How to avoid being that person at the gym Whether you’re a newbie feeling unsure how to start, or seasoned lifter looking to polish your presence, this book offers clear, respectful advice grounded in real-world gym dynamics. It draws on the life experiences of a seasoned IFBB Professional Bodybuilder who is also a retired veteran police sergeant with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, and is written in an accessible tone that balances authority with relatability. This project would appeal to readers of fitness lifestyle titles like The Little Black Book of Workout Motivation by Michael Matthews or The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson—offering insight with a touch of humor and plenty of real talk. *As a bonus, you will learn from actual female gym members how to approach that special someone in the gym who you’ve had your eye on but were afraid to make your approach.
